The Lomax-Porter Charity Golf Tournament in partnership with the Growl Club honors legendary FVSU football coaches, Stan Lomax and Douglas Porter. Proceeds from the tournament help fund scholarships for student-athletes and support FVSU athletic programs.


The 14th annual tournament will be held at River North Country Club in Macon. Golfers of every skill level are invited to compete for prizes and most importantly, bragging rights!

The tournament format is a four-person scramble with registration at 8:00 a.m. and a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. FVSU Hall of Fame coach Douglas Porter is the honorary tournament director. Come and have a great day of golf and fellowship while supporting FVSU!
