This isn’t just a golf tournament—it’s a living act of remembrance.
On the grounds of Siloam-Hope First Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth, New Jersey, 313+ enslaved and free African ancestors rest in Old First Cemetery—many unnamed, their stories interrupted by history, but not erased. The 313+ Ancestors Speak Project exists to give voice to their lives through research, memorialization, and community truth-telling. Yes, we’ll gather for a powerful day on the course—alongside friends, supporters, and special guests—but what we’re really doing is choosing to listen: to honor those who built and carried so much, and to help restore what was denied—name, dignity, legacy. Your donation helps fund the memorial and the work to identify the 313+—and it helps bring forward the stories you haven’t heard yet… but need to.
