The Sam Houston State University Alumni Association invites you to participate in The 19th Annual SHSU Alumni Golf Tournament 

Over the last 19 years, the alumni association has been happy to hold this annual event to foster growth and engagement for our Alumni and the Alumni Association. we are excited to host this year's event at the renowned Houston National Golf Club in Cypress, TX, and are eager to see this great alumni association tradition continue. 

The SHSU Alumni Association would like to thank the Alumni Golf Committee chaired by and the countless volunteers who make what is sure to be a great day of golf, food, and fun possible. This year, we are looking forward to another quality event. 

The 19th Annual SHSU Alumni Golf Tournament Rules

4-Man Scramble

(4-person teams where each player on the team hits a tee shot, and then the players decide which shot they like. The Four players then play from that spot. The player whose shot was not taken picks up their ball and moves it to within one club length of the selected shot.)

Shotgun Start 

(Tournament format in which all groups of players tee off simultaneously from different holes)

Par is Your Partner

(If the golfer or team can not beat the net par score, they pick up the golf ball and move on to the next hole)
