CELEBRATING 10 YEARS OF TEN IN 2026

The Teen Enrichment Network (TEN) works with teenagers in the Fredericksburg
area to build life skills and plan for their futures after high school. Our first Teen
Outreach Summit was held in April 2016. Our Teen Outreach Summits/Expos are
specifically developed to fit the needs of our youth now. They experience relevant,
real-life truth about the difficulties facing youth and ways to navigate through
those obstacles. Our topics have covered Mentoring, Social Media, Peer Pressure,
Police Relations, and Educational Options, to name a few.
In addition, our teens meet weekly during the school year with mentors who dive
deeper into these topics as well as life and leadership skills. Through partnerships
with local high schools, we also have monthly sessions during school hours. Our
events and meetings are planned and run by our teens with support and direction
from our mentors.
Since 2016, we have also given out over $10,000.00 in scholarships to teens in the
Fredericksburg area pursuing a college education. Our teens have attended Belmont
University, Coast Guard Academy, GMU, Georgia State University, Germanna
Community College, JMU, Marion Military Academy, Morehouse College, North
Carolina A&T, Old Dominion University, Penn State, Shenandoah University, UMW,
University of South Carolina, UVA, VCU, VMI, and VSU. Teens have also enlisted in
the U. S. Coast Guard and the U. S. Marine Corps.
